You see, every party during elections whether the incumbent party performed or not will bring in their own candidate to sell and convince the electorates that the incumbent hasn't done enough.

So if Wike did well, do you expect an opposition party to folds it arms without going for the contest

Remember Fashola despite his incredible performance in Lagos during his first term, PDP still brought in a candidate against him who was flogged mercilessly at the polls

So my point is whether APC or PDP performs well, the opposition party won't say Oh this governor did well so let's not contest against him. They'll do all they can to wrestle power from the performing incumbent.

The truth of the matter people in Nigeria are suffering most of the people do not even have money for food these days you just see hungry people at the side of the road in all states. At this moment people are dying of Hunger in the country how do you want them to vote for APC when the people have no future. Just look at the price increase just look at everything going up the job cuts and everything you want people to vote for the ruling party it's not possible..
