Answer to brain teaser: Give 4 girls a yam each. The 5th girl gets a yam in a basket. All 5 girls have a yam each.

Ok, the question said 5 yam in a basket but didn't say how many is on the ground and also didn't say you must give them only the ones at the basket..
You will simply bring out 4 yam from the basket and give to 4 girl leaving one yam inside the basket, then you will pick one yam from the ground and give to the remaining girl.
