If it’s really going to be simple, Excel can handle it perfectly.

You can setup the page to print out only the area of invoice and receipt. Turning off gridlines of those sheets will also help it look professional when printed out.

You can send a pm if you want me to help.

But I want each record from the invoice to be saved permanently

I understand, this can be done with ease in Excel. You will save all the necessary records in one workbook for every sale you have and then whenever you want to create an invoice/ receipt for a particular date/ product, all you have to do is extract the required records.

The process can become tasking as your “database” grows larger so consider automation to make it easier to maintain.

YOU can use excel with a DASHBOARD (in the form of a reciept) that you can call a particular transaction and print.

Why don't you just install a small Sales Management System? There are a few robust ones out there that are completely free and can export data into excel for analysis.
