As the 60th Nigeria's independence anniversary approach, agitators for the Biafran Republic in Southeastern Nigeria, and their Oduduwa counterparts in southwestern Nigeria, have forged a common accord to advance their cause of self-determination.

The accord of the Biafran agitators and the Oduduwa republic urged the Federal Government to convene a referendum where Nigerians can freely make a democratic choice, to either continue with Nigeria or seek their right to a sovereign state before the 2023 general elections.
