There’s No Law In Nigeria Against Smoking Weed ? Is This True by Jwonder(op): 12:37pm On Sep 26, 2020
I have just been informed that there’s no law in Nigeria against smoking (cigarettes or weed) unless you’re found with one in commercial quantity, with the intention to distribute to the public.
No crime is committed if you are not a danger to yourself and others. Provided you are not smoking in places clearly marked with “No Smoking” signs or public spaces. No law criminalizes existence.

How true is this, can lawyers in the house help clarify this ??

I don't know the case pf the online country.

But in Nigeria, my country, there is a very strict law against trading and consumption of Indian Hemp.

For instance, the Nigerian police are responsible for maintaining law and order. And we have seen the orders written by police in various locations prohibiting the consumption and trading pots.

I’m not taking about what the police says or do, we all know they don’t follow the law, I’m asking those in the legal field to tell us if it’s true or not and please don’t bring tribalism or politics into this, it’s a platform/ thread to learn.

Even those police officers arresting innocent people just because of weed are the real smokers of weed. Infact police men smoke weed more than civilians. So with this, i think there is not a law against smoking of weed in a private place.

Even if you are not worthy of any respect, at least respect your family. If you do not have what to say, keep sealed lips.
