Sad to know that the richest state with the 3rd largest debt in Nigeria doesn't have more to show.

There's nothing to celebrate here.

Sad.
Unfortunately what you said is the truth for not only Akwa ibom but the entire Nigeria. The country is failed in reality despite tangible developments here and there . Most people on this forum live in developed countries and only come on this forum to pass time .It's easy to do all these when you have it all and in a better place . it's easy for Rossik to create threads praising Nigeria. it's easy for me to do same for Calabar , but Those living the reality there are rarely the ones creating threads and posting photos. For example, Rossikk created thread about beauty of Ikot ekpene just based on internet photos , but those living the reality there would not create such threads.
Ilaumoh was just asking the OP what projects are ongoing at Ibeno. that means the clown who bombards the forum everyday with repetitive mediocre photos lives no where near Akwa ibom. An individual who lives in akwa ibom complained about his place being neglected but blackking98 who lives outside akwa ibom shut him down .

You want me to tell you what's going on in ibeno so your olimpoitic governor an his likes will wake up and duplicate it on paper and go around the world screaming about projects he has no idea nor resources on how to bring to fruition even if he was given 5 terms? And go about the whole Nigeria lobbying for the same licensing just because he wants to prevent the state that actually has the potential to get it done from doing it.
You think an Akwa ibom man is stupid to tell you all our plans before it comes to fruition? Akpabio may have done it, not this Administration, you will here about the projects when they are accomplished.

FYI an in both Akwa ibom and Calabar. Not outside the country. So stop obfuscating. If you wanna talk to me talk to me like a man if not scram.

My question about ibom seaport centred in what I read recently becos we once knew it was to be sited in Ibaka but the recent news this year said Ibeno.. So I needed clarification from a season tourist like Atouke ok

Ibom Deep Sea Port: Host Community Insists On Name-Change, Functional EIA, MoU

The host community for the proposed Ibom Deep Seaport project has insisted that the name should be changed to “Ibeno Deep Sea Port” to reflect the actual location of the project.

The community says such a change would also honour the Ibeno people and community whose coastal land and marine resources have contributed greatly to the revenue of Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria for many years now.

Paramount Ruler of Ibeno Local Government Area, Dr. Effiong Bassey Archianga, gave the condition over the weekend in Ibeno during a courtesy visit to his royal palace by the state Commissioner for Economic Development and Ibom Deep Sea Port, Akan Okon.

Archianga said having been a victim of oil/gas exploration and production for many years now and having learnt its lessons, the community would not allow any developmental project to be sited in their land until all conditions are met.

The royal father, therefore, listed the community’s other conditions for accepting the project to include: a proper and functional Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ibeno people, proper and functional Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), resettlement plan for the affected land owners, adequate and meaningful compensation.

Other conditions listed by the monarch are: good community relations, implementation of local content laws and other related laws on maritime issues, working with community’s consultant/agent for payment of compensation and possible access roads into the project site.

His words: “Ibeno had been a victim of oil/gas exploration and production for many years now and we have learnt our lessons. To this end, before any developmental project is sited on our land, there must be proper and functional EIA with its MoU and the paramount ruler-in-council and other stakeholders should be respectfully consulted by the investors, subsidiaries and contractors.
“The project would involve development of approximately 505 hectares of land for phase 1 and 495 hectares for phase II (extension) would displace many households and as such, a resettlement plan is needed before the commencement of the said project.

“Since the people will for life surrender their land and sources of livelihood to the investors, adequate/meaningful compensation(s) for parcels of land, structures, cash crops, deities and shrines relocations, among others, should be made to the following communities: Okposo I, Okposo II, Okomita, Itio-Esek, Itak Idim Ekpe”.

Archianga, who expressed disappointment that the project started in 2008 and as at today, little or nothing has been done to kick-start phase I, therefore urged the state government to redouble effort to ensure that at least the phase I of the project commences and inaugurated by the President before 2023.

Baseless comment and emoji. I don't dislike akwa ibom but some akwa ibom people pissed me off. Akwa ibom is a shithole and has not utilized it's allocation efficiently. All the photos you post on this forum and all those plans you have outlined above as development are third world nonsense. Who cares about your silly comparisons? you have no idea what development is . Even Abuja city center and Victoria island Lagos are shitholes .
The entire Calabar (south cross river) will be first world developed within 20 years by both private and government. who cares about mediocre and outdated uj esuene stadium and Margaret Ekpo airport?. Who cares about all that old stuffs? When Calabar begins to rise all haters of Efiks& Calabar like ilaumoh and the others will simply die and many of them won't enjoy the benefits . Pointless making too much noise.

Most Akwa ibom people are foolish ,there's no getting around , it's in the DNA. I've tried to like you but just can't ,i don't think I will. If my way prevails ,ideally Calabar becomes a city state ,all akwa ibom people should be deported from Calabar(southern crossriver). Of course for now it's all talk .
deport or kill. maybe the Efiks you met are meek, you know nothing about this Efik.
Also watch and see what happens if the clown governor denies Efik the governorship in 2023.

Akwa ibom are very wicked man. very cold hearted. #FACT. Akwa ibom built all the federal roads in it's domain but intentionally abandoned the Calabar Itu road to kill traffic to Calabar. #FACT . Yet investors are still setting up in Calabar . There are many other things Akwa ibom has done and continues to do which indicates they hate and wish Efiks&Calabar bad . Some of these may be difficult to digest.
