Sometimes I don't know if I should cry for this country or just think about the good old days and smile

Chaioma Ajonwa!

That Babe that year!

Even Music Artists were fixing her name in their rhymes.

She really made us proud!

But Nairalanders, the "hittest" independent celebration in this Country was during Good luck administration in 2010, when we celebrated golden jubilee, mehn, it was something else, to the extent that Shell BP in PH kept their gate wide opened, as long as you wore green and white, express; come in, eat, drink and catch fun to it's self fullness.

But within the spot PDP lost out in the poll, Nnamdu Kanu was introduced and that guy assassinated the spirit of patriotism.

Even today in PH, no body wears green and white again.

If you do, you will be looked at with disdain.

I was in PH at the time (Nigeria@50)

Many people wore and flaunted their green and white colors.

Nigeria is not getting any better

The earlier we admit it the better for us.

Enyimba International FC lifting African Champions Cup and Governor Orji Uzor Kalu hiding it in sack to escape rampaging Egyptians in Cairo.

Enyimba FC broke the jinx and much eluded trophy came to Nigeria.

To cement their championship status they carried it back to back.

Our government is no longer sponsoring sporting activities. Democracy see it as a waste of time unlike the military. Infact all the amount budgeted for sport promotion have been embezzled into private pockets. All this moments happened during military era.
