Many Ijebu Indigens who lives in Ijebu - Ode and other areas in Ijebu don't know their ancestors came into Nigeria just like Yoruba ancestors came into Ile - Ife.
Ijebu people base in the South Central part of the Yorubaland in Western Nigeria. They are sorrunded in the North by Ibadan, In the East by Ilaje and Ondo people and by the west by their immediate neighbor Egba.
