About a week ago. They got no rejection, just a mail saying they should provide documentation to support accommodation for the one year period

No landlord will rent out his house in Italy for one year without seeing your visa. Unless they have changed the law. Maybe what they need is additional proof of funds to cover the rent.

The number of people going from Nigeria has nothing to do with my plans, I didn't choose Sapienza because of that.

Oga your friend cannot provide u with hospitalia except he or she is d owner of d house. In the house contract it is always stated that u cannot give out the room or bring in another person without the approval of the landlord. Na only the landlord fit give u hospitalita.

Oga I am here and I know how the system works. Maybe the cousin told the landlord to help issue d document. Hospitalita is a document u get from their commune and they will ask for the owner of the house bfo they give it out.

Is it different from declaration of guarantee?
Which states that the (host) covers the person's feeding, lodging and medical assistance together with repatriation. A document given by the police of the commune to the host?

The CAC document of his business, his ID that has his signature and any other important business related document. He should also write a sponsorship letter for you disclosing that he will take full responsibility of your studies.
