The last paragraph explains it all. These discos are very wicked. AEDC wants to give credit on purchase, but discos are like not so fast, let them pay for installment, bla bla bla...... If the whole masses can abandon or just sacrifice a day from opening their businesses, then stage a heavy protest on daylight robbery by the discos. We can get what we want in this country, just that some people are not cooperative. |

8y88y8:They blame PMB and Fashola for the consequences of the corrupt and evil acts of their PDP uncles because of ignorance, bigotry and tribalism. When GEJ and their crooked and corrupt PDP uncles privatized and sold our power assets to their crooked and corrupt cronies in the private sector for 1 kobo on the dollar with zero experience in power generation, power distribution, power management and zero funds needed to grown their power operations with, their ignorant and clueless followers were busy shouting GEJ till 2015. Very sad. |

Techm0: DisCos face bleak future over N930bn debt in unpaid invoices owed NBETThe DISCOs are deadly broke and in serious debt, they owe more money than many states combined. Accepting more loads means more debt and electricity that they can not pay for, meaning their indebtedness and lack of funds to pay the GENCOs and other electricity generators is affecting the power generators and other players in the power value chain. The FG can not keep throwing money away to subsidize power and operations of profit oriented private companies. This danger and national security disaster was overlooked during the privatization process, now we can not reverse the whole privatization debacle because we don't want to send the wrong signal to investors or create the impression that the government is not reliable or trustworthy. This is catch 22, but the FG need to ignore the negative impact and promptly declare some kind of national electricity emergency and tear up the whole privatization agreement, but the problem is what to replace it with since we still don't have viable alternatives. Our deal with Siemens is a great deal, but it's not anywhere close to actualization on the ground. |

NGpatriot:Jonathan Ebele & pdp sold the next generation out to quacks all for political gain, what does Tunde Ayeni, Funke Osibudu, Captain Hosa, know about Electricity Distribution? Eskom South Africa is broke, the Nigerian Market would have been a new frontier, the largest market by far in their portfolio to make money to take back to the South Africa, just like MTN Nigeria, tomorrow people will say President Bill Buhari is the person that spoilt Nigeria |

The MYTO tarrif was ill conceived, it did not take into account the practical realities of a 3rd world country like Nigeria. Make them come collect na. |

They reject power from the gencos and hike the price for their customers while paying a fraction of the funds generated to the gencos. Truly In Nigeria everybody na criminal, and it's not as if Nerc does not know about it. |

D Discos are d problem, d reason we don't have stable electricity, they shld be probed. If everyone is metered with prepaid, this nonsense won't happen. Imagine rejecting generated electricity by gencos, n yet we're crying nigeria is not generating enough power!. D Discos have refused to invest in infrastructure n shld be investigated n penalised. |
