There is something called basic salary and there is something called allowance.

Most times allowance is in multiples of the basic salary, so that explains the millions he will be going home with monthly. I hope that helps?

There is something called basic salary and there is something called allowance.
The total money a public officer goes home with is the basic salary plus the allowances.

The allowances alone is always in multiples of the basic salary, so that explains the millions he will be going home with monthly.
