My Panasonic smart TV is acting up. Immediately I switch it on, the marked icon comes up. I don't know where it comes from. Then It doesn't respond to remote again. The volume goes up and down without any controls. And then it keeps malfunctioning. I can't even get to reset it. I'm worried. Please help me out.

kaze4blues:You may not find CEC on your tv, it could be branded in a “trade name.” So, you’ll need to know what your TV manufacturer calls it, and Panasonic calls it: HDAVI Control, EZ-Sync, or VIERA Link. |

Good day, Please I have an issue with my 32 inches Scanfrost TV Recently, there is this Scanfrost logo that has been popping up on my TV, it will stay for like 18 seconds, disappear, then comes on again. Please help out....I left my LG TV for two years without using it in good condition i happen to come back home to on it the power boton was on but not displaying so I took it to a repairer he said he will change something on it don't know the name it's what makes the TV to be showing after fixing it I used it for two hours a vertical line start manifesting on the t.v after 30minutes nother vertical line started manifesting again now there are two for days now Please what could be the problem? |

oadmn:Hisense apparently makes more sense than Royal. I've had Hisense 65 inch smart for 2 years now and is doing fine. I believe it may not be EU version, but the products made for Africa. Hisense has been in the business long before royal, I presume. Make sure you get it from a reputable walk in electronic store rather than online like Jumia. That way you are guaranteed of proper testing before picking up the item and you can also return it if it breaks down within warrantee period. Those would be difficult to achieve with current Nigerian online stores. On the flip side, if graceglory has EU version Hisense offering you may contact him. I know he stocks more of LG, Sony, Panasonic and Samsung. |

Hello graceglory. A neighbour has a complaint of his TV having a single vertical line that developed after he transported it in his car too his new base. He recently got transferred. A technician told him the line can be "removed with a machine" which he would pay for. Is it true there is a machine to do that? |

ceaser:It could be removed, it’s a component attached to the screen that’s responsible for the line they work on, but there’s also a tendency that it could return. He should ask the tech guy to give him guarantee. But the line could also leave by itself after a period of time |

obinna37:First, I need you to know that as time goes on, parts inside TVs wear out slowly, so, TVs could begin behaviors you aren’t expecting, and flickering is one of those behaviors. One of the devices attached to the TV could be at fault for the flickering, check all Cables one after the other by unplugging one after the other as some or one may be faulty. If not, it could be a component of the TV: 1. Power or 2. Back light. So, yes, both issues can be fixed |
