Niiice cool

What's the freezer consumption digits like?

As regards the "fingered" 219L, it still freezes okay, right? In case you wanna give it up, I might have one beverage drinks retailer who is interested in getting used freezer for cheap.

This BMV thingy, it can only be used with those inverters that come with RJ11 ports, right?

Me I nor even dey connected to utility supply at all. And today isn't looking promisimg either, only signs of more rain drizzles. E be like say generator will come on line for some.

Max I have seen on it is 200w and when it achieves the -20c that it is set it consumes little or until compressor comes back online.

The 219L has been grabbed already, are you based on Ado by the way?

The BMV is not connected to my inverter it's connected to battery directly and the screenshot is from the phone app through Bluetooth

Yeah the weather is not smiling in the last few days, fingers remain crossed for today

After the freezer attains minus 20 degrees, what is the consumption it settles at and maintains?

On and off, mostly off. But on for today. Àfàò road.

So that means that that BMV can be used ordinarily without any special types of inverter-SCC communication.

Of course yes. It comes with its own shunt that goes into the battery. No special Inverters needed except for some remote viewing and gx device levels ( victron inverters only).

All the places we use techfine batteries as stop gap replacement, in the past 6months have either packed up or are limping, waiting to be decommissioned.

They saw about 50%DoD, C3 to C4 max discharge rates....
There was enough solar and Diesel gen backup to ensure DoD was adhered to.

These were 1000ahr/2v cells anyway.

Maybe that info will help in your decision making.

I have a Thermocool 203L freezer that takes only 110w at max but runs lower than that. I'm surprised that the freezer is that efficient and doesn't consume much.

Ojukokoro will not kee me...

So I saw a deal of an Eastman 850va, 12v inverter and 2×100ahr Double tech batteries few months used, for less than 120k.

I grab am, because reason for disposal was due to system upgrade of the previous owner.

Well, I just took delivery and I discovered that the self consumption, on no load is about 25watts!

Summary of this message be say, I WAN SELL ONLY INVERTER O....I never even install am yet.

Asking prize is 45k. (Slightly negotiable)

INVERTER has LCD screen, shows real time load percentage, inbuilt charger, etc etc.

Reason for my own disposal is that, my system is very small, my 600Wp PV installation is also heavily shaded and this inverter will simply be wasting energy for me...

Hit signature let's talk.

Update SOLD

It does about 2w and if lid is opened it goes to about 10w until the compressor triggers again so as to keep it at -20.

Oh so we are neighbors then

Exactly BMV only needs to be connected to the battery terminals, if you need data from it then you can connect it to other tool that will hervest the data for use, such as a logging system(I use solpiplog) and ofcourse you can connect through Bluetooth as well. That said I expect that it can talk directly with victron inverters, though I don't see why a victron inverter user will need a BMV

How lower does it run?

Cos I have a 203L non-inberter compressor thermocool too that start surges at around 600 watts and settles at 105w.

Come, is this some typo? 2 watts and 10 watts ke?! As as how? (In lateef Oladimeji's voice)

My 319L inverter compressor (rated 115w) maintains a constant consumption in the nineties once good temperature is achieved.

Although I have the "turbo switch" (that red light switch) permanently on which means that the compressor is on 24/7 or so I believe, cos I have never noticed any silence in its working. The same "turbo freeze switch" always on goes for the 203L.

Or have I been using these appliances incorrectly?

It's no typo Bro, that's what happens when the freezer compressor shuts off.

The turbo switch should not be constantly on, its meant to be a fast track and when it gets to your desired temperature you should turn off the turbo if it doesn't go off by itself as that was how it behaved in my 219L(I have not tried the turbo on the 379L) so that may also be why you have a consistent power consumption.

That said, it could also be due to the content in the freezer, mine is just about 30% full
