4)speed of the wave

Y is in mm

X is in m

T is in sec

Y = 5sin(3x-4t)

From the wave equation:

y = Asin(kx-wt)

A is the amplitude

I) = 5

Ii) w = 2πf

f = w/2π= 4/2π= 4/ 2*3.142

= 0.64Hz

Iii) period

f= 1/T

T=1/f = 1/0.64= 1.56sec

Iv) speed of wavelength

V = w/k

= 4/3 = 1.33 m/s
