Simply convert it to a Wordpress theme using wp structure and syntax. Get a Wordpress theme and study it.

I use Django (Python) framework so I'm not an expert in PHP or WordPress development.

However, my experience with most web programming framework is that they have a template engine. Flask for example uses the Jinja2 template engine. Django has its own template engine.

I have read somewhere online that WordPress has its own template engine.

Any framework that doesn't add .html, .PHP etc. to the end of a web page address most likely uses a template engine.

So, try to research about and learn how to use the WordPress template engine.
