Well to effectively DDOS a website you need huge volumes of data because you will be making rapid entries so much that you overwhelm the server and if you look at what happened this morning that's what the people tried to do..
Posts where appearing by the second with related or.rwoeayed topic and content that's when I knew it was a DDOS .attack

That's bad but I believe the hackers won't succeed

Listen it was a DDOS attack trust me but they are testing

The big one is coming , as I was trying to refresh several times I got a message that the servers where overwhelmed and this was at 3am in the morning, that tell you the level of brute forcing they are doing.
I can bet you this is testing the main attack is coming and it may shut this site down.

For more than a month now sef, they've been posting annoying stuff on Coronavirus and how black Americans have been dying and how Covid was around since 2019. Most times, the statements are incomplete

I doubt it because every serious company know nairaland doesn't have up to 500k unique members it's mostly all duplicate accounts and dead profiles

Clicks brings revenue only with ads bug brands don't advertise here they take all their ads to Linda Ikeji and other websites

Look up there and see their membership database of close to 3M, the figure is from the duplicate accounts. Deleted and deactivated accounts are supposed to be subtracted but the figure increases daily.
Some sites use PayPerClick.
He can't watch things happening like that if he is not gaining from it.
