That I know for a fact and I am in absolutely the same position so can understand his disinterest.

He was a vocal antagonist of the activities of the police in Rivers State long before he became governor and after that he had running battles with the police, the mobile police force and the various special units used by the 'Abuja people' to subvert his goverment at every turn and especially in the run up to the 2015 elections.

So I can understand his amusement when folks castigate him now.

On my part, I have always advocated for the restructuring of Nigeria as a panacea for most social ills and the failures of institutions after institutions. A good number of fellow citizens who chastised all the way up to a week ago are suddenly champion crusaders for reform, their faith in 'supermen' suddenly vanished like cool candy in a scorching desert.

And I'm like.... wow, what happened. Where have you folks been all these years. Wike sure feels the same... completely befuddled.
