President Mugammadu Buhari's aide Bashir Ahmad has said the "#EndSARS protest is beyond police reforms" Insidenaija reports. Ahmad made the disclosure on his verified Tweeter handle on Wednesday evening while reacting to a tweet by Aliyu Atiku, son of the People's Democratic party's (PDP) candidate in the 2019 general elections Atiku Abubarka. Aliyu Atiku in a tweet said, "Revolution clearly looming in Africa ‘s most populous nation. This End SARS is beyond police reform". Reacting to this, Ahmad said he had seen a similar utterance from many on people on Tweeter, saying Aliyu should elaborate on the statement, adding that, some behind the protests are the 2019 elections losers, who now concluded that they have no any chance at the polls but revolution. “The #EndSARS [protest] is beyond police reform”, I have seen a similar utterance from many on this app, kindly elaborate, don’t make us assume that some behind the protests are the 2019 elections losers, who now concluded that they have no any chance at the polls but revolution". Maybe it was the 2019 election losers that told SARS to be terrorizing innocent civilians in Southern Nigeria. Bashir, tell your boss the truth, that the people are angry at his failure to save them from daily harassment, torture, killings, economic hardship, nepotism, unemployment and official high handedness. Tell him that we are tired of expecting a miracle, and that the 5 years of our time he has used to sleep must be accounted for.
