please why does every Nigerian politician think people must be paid before a group assembles? Don't they realise we have functional brains to make personal decisions? Everything 'highjacked', 'paid', 'sponsored'.

Ngige should keep fooling himself. All he knows is feeding himself fat in Abuja.

No iota of impact

He and his ilks are shamed.

He will soon tell us who's recruiting them.

FG wants ASUU to call off so that protests will calm down. I've always been on the view that revolution is the way forward in this country. What will it take for citizens to shut down the country and demand for a better Nigeria and get Nigeria working again? It's high time we take the bull by the horn. Of what use is the labour of our heroes? Say no to tribalism! No to injustice! No to corruption! No to insecurity! No to under-employment! No to it's who you know.....! No to poverty! No to looting! And say yes to progress! Yes to development! Yes to a better Nigeria!
Heaven help those who help themselves.
God help us in this country

Well said! However, I think our people are a bunch of cowards for the most part, with a messiah mentality to boot....smh

My friend, the ASUU of your dad and my dad's days is not the ASUU of today. The ASUU of today wears the cloak of a friend just to stab the students and even the FG at the back. They aren't fighting for students' interest or better education system. They only throw in that card of "fighting for you,. fighting for better education" to curry your favor and support. ASSU is a pressure group and it fights for nothing besides the interest of its own members.

Nigerian University education will fare better if ASUU and the FG factors are eliminated.

My friend how will you know this when you have not tried them huh?

Like I said, they demand for salaries and rehab of facilities in schools. FG pays them their salaries and then they shut up, then embark on another strike...

Why you can see tetfund projects in schools now is because of these demands and protests, everyone is chooking eyes. Tetfund had given this monies for a long time before the commencement of the project. e.g Back of Engineering, Unilag Julius Berger hall etc.

If ASUU steals ten times over, the can refund 20 times beyond the norm... only if you know the amount made in this country everyday

My Children in this country deserves better ooh

The #EndSARS protest is a preamble to something huge, that is coming. Personnel of the disbanded SARS are not the problems, but the excesses of some of them provided the trigger for what might be the most popular protest in recent Nigerian history.

Those advising our governors and other politicians that they could stop these protests by showing support to the protesters may not be telling them all the truth. Yes, many of these governors and politicians are trying to rig the protests, the same way they rig elections by identifying with the protesters and even raising placards and joining on protest marches. But, this may not work as well as they have been made to believe it will.

This might be about the only opportunity Nigerians have to get those in authority to redress so many things that have gone bad.

The guy na mumu. He doesn't know that if school resumes protest will still go on because students in rural areas will go back to campus in the major cities and swell up the ranks of protester's.

How do you know the honourables, ministers, governor, commissioners and representatives at the national assembly are stealing funds meant for the development of your locality when you never saw them stealing?? That is what your question sounds like.

What's giving ASUU excuse and reason to appear relevant is the irresponsible government we always have in place. You will see ASUU for what it is if we for once have a government that makes funding, managing and financing the University a priority. The corruption in Nigerian University is worst than the one in police force. The bulk of the money they get from the FG goes into their personal purses. When they procure pencil for schools and for students' use, be rest assured they have squandered funds to procure textbooks and clothing for the same students. If you want to know how bad and rotten Nigeria is, study ASUU their demands and what eventually comes out of those demands.
