Gov. Sanwo-Olu visits Family Of Man Killed During #EndSARS Protest In Surulere

Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday, October 17, paid a condolence visit to the family of Mr Iloamauzor killed during the #EndSARS protest in Surulere on Monday, October 12, IgbereTV reports.

Mr Iloamauzor was standing by during the protest when police officers in the area opened fire at the protesters. One of the bullets hit Mr. Iloamauzor and he died instantly.

During his visit, the governor commiserated with Mrs. Ngozi Iliamauzor, the widow of the deceased. According to the governor, he was close to tears during the visit. He pledged to support and hopefully make life easier for the widow.

He wrote on his Twitter handle:

''There are no words I could have said to Mrs Ngozi Iloamauzor today that can make up for her loss, but as governor, I had to take responsibility. As a human being, I was close to tears but my words to her were of strength and self care. We will work to provide justice for her."

The Nigeria Govt knows this.

I read the wickedness of SARS officers in Awkuzu, it's really heartbreaking. Can't guys living around there burn the station? How about locating the officers family and taking revenge. We are too gentle in this country.

I was really pained watching the video of this man in the pool of his blood, the medics tried their best to resuscitate him, but he eventually gave up the ghost.

What pained me the most, was that he was not even part of the protesters (God should keep protecting them), he was just a victim of stray bullets.


Its unavoidable not to record casualties in these type of protests, may lord almighty rest the soul of all those that have lost their lives through the protest, and comfort their loved ones.
