If a Nigerian is elected, I will finally give up on America and other super powers' ability to hold some failed countries accountable. For several years the NPF have been denying human rights abuse allegations levelled against them from both local and international observers. This #EndSars protest has finally nailed their coffin. So this Interpol election has come at an inauspicious time for the NPF. No hiding place anymore.

And you think human right abuses don’t happen in America and other countries? What do you think the black live matters protest in America was all about? Do you even know the number of black people that US police have killed extrajudicially this year alone? Are you guys okay at all? How can you hate your country so much like this? Smh!

Yes, America isn't innocent, but you can't compare the rate of police murder in Nigeria to.what happens in America.

We don't need this job to be very honest.. No Nigerian is ready to head a great policing and security organization like INTERPOL.... With the way Nigeria Policing is, hope they won't select an ex SARS man for elections

We definitely don’t deserve it. Next!

Yes human right abuses happen anywhere in the world but in those places the culprits are brought to book and served accordingly. The system works 99%. What do we have here? The number of cases not reported outweigh the number of known and reported cases. And even at that no justice, no measures taken to curb thier excesses. Its pretty obvious that ur a dumb fool to be comparing what obtains there to the Nigerian situation. Matter of fact u are worse than a fool.

Am very okay. You can't compare the judicial system in that country with ours. You can't also compare their policemen with ours. Let us face the truth. The NPF lacks accountability that is all. The black lives matter is not just about police brutality but racial discrimination. How do we explain that a fellow black policeman in Nigeria brutalizes his own countrymen? Please this #EndSars is not the same with #Blacklives matter. Thank you.

Imagine James Nwafor of ewkuzu sars as Interpol chief and you will know whats up.

Interpol mbok find someone else for now, the youths want to fix things, when we have cleaned the rot in the system, we will be back for the job.
quote me boss, James Nwafor will perform excellently well. The system is there to to work things out itself unlike Nigeria where reverse is the case...

I didn't want to insult him cos it is obvious he can't counter my points without insulting me even though he knows I have a right to my opinion. Now u wonder why he doesn't see anything wrong in calling the NPF out on this Interpol election because he doesn't respect the rights of others. So imagine people like him being member of the NPF, your guess is as good as mine.

that guy was a violent criminal, a gangster, porn actor money forger who was high as a kite during that arrest and four policemen couldn't bring him under control. He died from drug overdose. Do you really want to compare American gangsters to ordinary Nigerian citizens that most likely have never touched a gun in their entire life?

“No Nigerian is ready for the job...” like really? How many top brass officers do you personally know? Not to talk of knowing their professional capabilities. I know emotions are high, but let’s be guided and stop making unguarded statements.

Thank you

Should not even dream about it. ... And China had better watch what horse they are betting on. The backlash will be serious if they are found to be backing unpopular policies, institutions and goverments that subvert the peoples will.

He is right. At this point no Nigerian is qualified. Whatever light that person has, has not shone through the darkness around him. Let him use his immense qualifications and competencies to drive the much needed reforms at home first.

It doesn't make an iota of sense to venture abroad when the organisation you represent is facing its biggest credibility challenge since its creation. What is the person going to say there that will not be mocked.

And what will be the effect on our police as an organisation if 'rewarded' without making reforms. You can be sure that it will create a sense that they are being persecuted at home.

After finish reading it, it became obvious that no Nigerian would want to go for that position because it's a part-time and unpayable one.. No wonder China is backing Nigeria for it and U.S is also not showing interest...
