Well, I have read through all the gists here.... I can't help but laugh.

My People,

1. Don't worry so much about the number of invitees. Immediately after the test, the number for interview is determined. It's just a program!

2. Revise basic arithmetics, simple mistakes in English (written and spoken)... And some current affairs esp. Nigerian polity!

3. Some basic applied maths and elementary physics

4. Guard yourself with prayers!

*** this exams won't be too different from the last NNPC CBT. So many applied, about 60k were invited for the CBT... and less the 10k made it to the interview stage!

What will be will be... las las, we go dey OK!!!

Area of concentration for the testmi are: Sentence completion, word relation, english language as in fill in the blank space from the given options, number series, abstract reasoning, percentages, ratio, addition, substraction, situational judgement, basic physics, basic chemistry, and few current affairs abt nigeria and oil and gas exploration. That is roughly 12 per state for GT and 4 for EH...mehn the competition is tough

I haven't been able to change my password...Each time I click on the change password feature when I login it doesn't pop up any option for a change.
I have done a password reset,however,I still get the message you have to change password before leaving this page on login page.

Dude everyone has a reason of asking peculiar questions... Why will I take the test if the salary is N150k or N200k... Sometimes its better to just ask... More so, who says I need to channel any energy for test... Principal issues are relative to different people...

I really think knowing the salary scheme/bonuses is important. My current workplace, I earn 200k but I’ve always wanted to work in an oil company. Anyone with useful info of the salary should say. I applied as GT though

For those that are eager to know about the salary, NCDMB use to be part of nnpc before they became independent so it should be expected that the salary will be the same with that of a nnpc staff of equal experience and position.

Same here, but I'm pretty sure the salary will be way more the the #200k. This is oil and gas. Let's just focus on making it past the exam stage first. I wish us all the best.

...first, the unit of resistance of resistors is ohms, not watts...
secondly, the 4ohms is it the equivalent resistance of the resistor (total resistance) or the resistance of each resistor..if the later is the case, then you can go ahead with the solution.
having in mind that equivalent resistance for restors in series is = R1 + R2 ....and when in parallel it is R1R2/R1+R2....and so on..

The value of the current flowing through the circuit is also not given. That will be needed (along side the effective resistance) when applying the ohm's law to calculate the voltage applied across.

Asking this kind questions will actually give those in STEM an edge over Art and Management. In my opinion, I don't think they'd set this kind question. It's good that you're learning tho

The question is just incomplete. If the value for Power or Current was given, answer will be provided.

I understand that 4 there is ohms, n let's assume 1.33A for current, then R total is 2ohms, V = 2.66V

Hint:

Rtotal= R1R2/R1 + R2
V=IRtotal

One of them, solves the question without knowing the Current. P=V square/ R
