A shocking video shared by DonJazzy and Falz on Instagram regarding a Nigerian man who narrated his heart-breaking encounter with a reckless police officer who shot his wife in the presence of their five children over N2,000 is currently trending.

According to Mr Godwin Sunday - who spoke on TB Joshua's Emmanuel TV - he was returning from a church service in 2015 with his family when police in Ijegun ordered him to stop and demanded the sum of N2,000.

Unable to provide the money, the police officer ordered him to return to the 'keke maruwa' he was driving when suddenly he heard a flurry of gun-shots.

Whilst one bullet pierced his jaw, leading to a serious injury, another hit his wife in the brain, killing her instantly. According to Godwin, who spoke during a church service at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), the incident particularly traumatised his young children who witnessed their mother murdered in cold blood.

After hearing of his ordeal, Prophet TB Joshua gave Mr Sunday the sum of N5m, alongside additional financial support from several other well-wishers in the church and international viewers on Emmanuel TV.

Although the story was narrated several years ago, it has re-emerged and gone viral in the light of the current #EndSARS protests engulfing the nation of Nigeria over the spate of police brutality.

"We want to fix this country so something like this doesn’t happen to you and your family," wrote DonJazzy on Instagram in response to the video, calling on citizens to not be angered by the inconvenience caused by traffic congestion in the wake of protests.
