There was no single violence in Lekki, but they deplored Soldiers. In Orile and Mushin there were reported violence, but no soldiers deployed. In Edo, there were no soldiers deployed, despite prison break Why was Lekki singled out by the soldiers? Who sent them? |

Unik3030:There is no genocide, the demands of the protesters have been met, when you see police stations burning, and curfew declared, what are you doing outside. Should the gov't allow anarchy? We still need law enforcement. |

ThatFairGuy1:We still don't get it. It's not in their best interest to have a working economy nor a nation governed by the tenets of rule of law. There is nothing good that can come out from these dominant and oppressive ruling class. What we owe ourselves and the generation unborn is to chase them away. They do not lack working documents or recommendations to create a prosperous nation. The police reforms documents was submitted 18 months ago, aside from the numerous reports submitted prior to that. The national conference recommendation reports are there. It's not in their interest to do any of that. Our demand, for them is like we're asking them to commit suicide. Let's understand this please |

madridguy:While I don't have anything against a youth democratic party and hate to play politics with this, I will beg to carefully reason with me. Starting from scratch can be cumbersome and without due guidance, can be catastrophic. Angry youths without leadership or direction is just a road to dilemma and pandemonium cos nobody will listen to anybody. However, instead of scratching from the start, why not use the present system against them. Youths should allow the elections to hold and there is a candidate there who is in the opposition that favours the youth. That man is already ready to lead the change Lagos needs and chase out the present government in Lagos. Once Buhari and his goons loose Lagos, I can bet anything that APC is gone. Why can't the youth support this man. His name is Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi. He is contesting under PDP. Don't look at the party, look at the man. He is what Lagos needs now. He needs the youths now. The youths needs him. He is in his mid 50s I think and advocate for for a better lagos and I can bet anything that he will give a far more better Lagos. Once the youth can support someone like that into key position, he can be a direction for more youths to engage in governance. Lastly, I support this whole endsars thing but if we want to address a big problem like the one Nigeria has, we need to go to the deep root of the problem and that is the choices we make every 4years. We need to be more active at elections by voting and protecting our votes. It is better to die for your votes than to die while protesting for what we can't control but depend on those we voted to effect the desired change. Elections and voting is our constitutional rights and a fundamental human right. No government can deny its citizens that. Let us maximize that. It is only when we do that we know that whoever is there will understand that power belongs to the people and will listen to the people. Buhari and his party do the things they do cos they know we didn't vote for them. They arranged themselves there and careless about the people. There is so much to say but its left for people to listen. Sometimes it better to use brains rather than force. When the use force, we use wisdom. |
