Many people will fume and call me names, but as for me i dont support this pointless protest for many reasons. First of all, Nigerian youths claim they want an end to police brutality and bad government but if we are sincere with ourselves, arent we the ones that empower and created these monsters in the first place. When you use police to settle private civil disputes and to bully each other, what did u expect will eventually happen? when u collect 5k from politicians to vote for them regardless of their pedigree, how can u turn aroung to blame the politicians for looting? Abi wont they "recoup" their investmenthuh When u surrender yourself to be used as political thugs during election, how are u any different from SARS?

The truth is the change we truly seek starts from we the people. We must look inwards and change our ways and ideology. You complain that govt officials are corrupt, but many times its the same people complaining that go there to bribe the officials in order to get personal favours i.e jump queue or get a particular service faster . If everybody refuses to give or receive bribe or act as thug then no govt official will be corrupt.

More importantly, this whole protest business looks too much like what has been happening all over the world like in tunisia, egypt, syria, iraq, afghanistan etc The whole business smells of foreign interference to distabilize Nigeria. It looks too much like what happened in libya where the cause appeared to be just but at the end of the day we saw it was American and France behinde it all just for Libya's oil.

Please and please, end the protest and stay home. Dont die for nothing. Stay safe and refused to be manipulated and used to destroy your country!

If u die, your parents and loved ones will lose you thats all.
You will change nothing.

If Nigeria goes up in flames, its you and i that will perish
The politicians will fly out in private jets

Make no mistake, many of the BIG people supporting the protest are either not in Nigeria or have private jets at their disposal. Oyedepo has 4.

Be wise!
