I was a bit worried this morning with constant news of police station being burnt in various parts of Lagos especially while monitoring radio programs and each time a caller calls in the first thing he /she talks about is the nearest police station close to him/her is presently on fire.

Then I came up with a theory that probably most of these hoodlums/boys in the area see these police stations as a symbol of their oppression in the past that shouldn't be allowed to remain standing. I myself has been illegally arrested in the past and money extorted from my parents before being released on bail. I will however never support the burning down of these stations/ police posts because I know how important police work is keeping law and order in a society like ours where youth unemployment is on the highest, a free drug market and youths with access to dangerous substances that when ingested makes human lives look worthless.

So many youth have had bitter encounters with these police officers that has turned their lives upside down hence where some of these boys won't hesitate to kill them now they have the chance. If the police has also been good to some of us who have moved on with our lives and have done well for ourselves, we could've prevented all these by talking to these boys and bros dem not to throw caution to the wind. I mean we most of these bros for area. We would've talked them out of these whole thing, buy them gin, peppered meat and make them see the danger in threading the path of anarchy that has been unleashed today.

Well, here we are with things falling apart and the centre not holding and the ogunfe in aso rock disguising and forming deaf and dumb to current happenings.

I think going forward the only thing we can do is talk to those we can amongst the bros dem/area boys/ hoodlums and make them see further destruction of properties and shootings will do us all no harm. These ard just my thoughts sha

Around that kind 4pm, I and my boss drove towards Sangana market beside Abali park to get his goods and materials. The place seem to have calmed down a bit but market people closed up their shops and when asked they said boys are using the situation on ground to loot and steal from shop owners.

It was around 1 or 2 that boys from Education side started advancing towards Ikoku direction but Police of e-crack stopped them. There was confrontation and gun shots. Before you know it, Ikoku boys started their own. At a point, rumours made rounds that Olu Obasanjo police station have being burned down.

It was during that period that I had that experience with those police men at Kala. If you see the way these guys are aggressive, you will know that they are really angry with all the protests going on. One of them actually cocked his gun and pointed at me from the window. What is my crime? Just that I want to branch off to a street not up to 3 feet in front of me BEFORE their road block.

Govt have imposed 24 hour curfew in some parts of PH.... Oyigbo, Eleme junction/Elelenwo, Ikoku/Mile 1 axis.

Because i don't understand how you will have seen the evidence of exactly what i was talking about and still type this rubbish.
It is very possible that pictures of violence totally unconnected to the current issue will be concocted to appear as though it is connected to the current chaos in order to evoke anger and resentment hence my insistence on further proof of issues surrounding it not just the pictures which can be misleading.

You keep saying fighting for freedom, but how exactly is vandalism, murders and wanton destruction of properties both private and public owned, "fight for freedom".
People have this fear that if the protests end now, we will go back to being silent but I seriously doubt that.
I think that these events in the country of the last few days has created a sense of awakening for the citizens of this country.

I think that a break for restrategy is required at this point. Every protests has an objective request. The protests in its current form lacks this. No one even knows exactly what we're protesting for again. The message has been drowned out by the violence and vandalism.

I do think we need to calm down now, restrategize, get a set of clear objectives and begin again. With the way it's going currently, more unnecessary lives are bound to be lost.
