DontBullshitMe:Yes! That anger is there; an average policeman is angry u are doing better than him or her. An access bank graduate trainee obviously earns way better than an Assitant commissioner of police going by their pay structure chart that has been flying around. Definitely a corporal will be livid seeing an access bank GT below 25 years old driving his kia while he's barely feeding his family with the crumbs he earn at almost aged 40. |

Skimpledawg:It was around 1 or 2 that boys from Education side started advancing towards Ikoku direction but Police of e-crack stopped them. There was confrontation and gun shots. Before you know it, Ikoku boys started their own. At a point, rumours made rounds that Olu Obasanjo police station have being burned down. It was during that period that I had that experience with those police men at Kala. If you see the way these guys are aggressive, you will know that they are really angry with all the protests going on. One of them actually cocked his gun and pointed at me from the window. What is my crime? Just that I want to branch off to a street not up to 3 feet in front of me BEFORE their road block. Govt have imposed 24 hour curfew in some parts of PH.... Oyigbo, Eleme junction/Elelenwo, Ikoku/Mile 1 axis. |

ToyinDipo:We have to continue our struggles for this freedom because if we don’t do that now, it might never happen again.. because if we listen to them now and go back, more strict measures and law will be put to force e.g hate speech bill, not having the right to protests e.t.c...Everyone has woken up but some people are still scared of death.. we’re all gonna die.. it’s just the ways that are different.. ok you that did not go to protest today for your basic rights for example, what assurance do you have that you will wake up tomorrow... And it’s not everyone that’s on the protest ground that’s killed.. I’m currently still at Lekki Toll Gate since the day 1 of this protest and I haven’t die... So let’s wake up and fight for our freedom once and for all |

Ibime:I don't agree nor disagree. But it was an inappropriate description coming from a former senate President. At a time like that, all the people needed was a voice to assure calmness and strengthen individual courage of the people in the face of brutality not sensational reaction aimed at further heating up the polity unnecessarily. Peace and stability should always come before politics. I have read several reports from international agencies and bodies, words were carefully chosen. |

thorrvik55:You are mentally retarded_. Because i don't understand how you will have seen the evidence of exactly what i was talking about and still type this rubbish. It is very possible that pictures of violence totally unconnected to the current issue will be concocted to appear as though it is connected to the current chaos in order to evoke anger and resentment hence my insistence on further proof of issues surrounding it not just the pictures which can be misleading. I certainly hope your brain is good enough to comprehend my post you fool. |

DontBullshitMe:It is people like Tinubu that have ambitions that needs support of Buhari and his government for their future political ambition that have the luxury of choosing their words carefully while reacting to the tragedy. Any other person with conscience will say it the way it is ; what happened yesterday is a well planned massacre, no more no less |

Havesense:This will definitely work if we have a lot of people who can stir at death in the face. If it comes to a situation where the politicians fear the people, the people's will will prevail. |

"After my short statement about Nigeria already last week I’m now even more shocked about how the situation there has got more and more out of control. This saddens me so much. This has absolutely nothing to do with democracy. It is more like a military rule and it's a violation of human rights at the highest order. President Buhari and the Nigerian Army, stop killing peaceful young protesters. Stop killing the people you are supposed to protect. The protesters didn’t ask for war, just for a better Nigeria. #EndPoliceBrutalityinNigeraNOW #EndSARS" — Antonio Rudiger

| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by donjazet(m): 8:06pm On Oct 21, 2020 |
Havesense:You keep saying fighting for freedom, but how exactly is vandalism, murders and wanton destruction of properties both private and public owned, "fight for freedom". People have this fear that if the protests end now, we will go back to being silent but I seriously doubt that. I think that these events in the country of the last few days has created a sense of awakening for the citizens of this country. I think that a break for restrategy is required at this point. Every protests has an objective request. The protests in its current form lacks this. No one even knows exactly what we're protesting for again. The message has been drowned out by the violence and vandalism. I do think we need to calm down now, restrategize, get a set of clear objectives and begin again. With the way it's going currently, more unnecessary lives are bound to be lost. |

nitrogen:I am not sure the President has said anything yet about the state of the nation. Maybe the likes of Donjazet had told him that everything is rumour and no hard core evidence that people died. I just opened twitter and saw this video, the guy that tweeted that Nigeria wouldn't end him but 3hrs later he was dropped by a stray bullet. Only massive support from international community can fvck these bastards at the helms of affairs as it stands. https://twitter.com/i/status/1318984073122140162 |
