Pierocash:But the Fulani took Ilorin permanently. They didn't have to run into the bushes. They even have an emir in the town, and every Yoruba slave has to worship the Fulani emir of a Yoruba town |

Pierocash:Emir lasts for life. Governor lasts for 4 years. Emirs are the cultural heads of their domain. Even the Yoruba governor bows to the emir OYIGBO traditional rulers rule over OYIGBO, while Rivers state governors are from Rivers. Rivers people are fully in control of both their cultural lives and political lives. The same is not the case for Yorubas in Kwara. Yoruba cultural and religious life in Kwara is controlled by the Fulanis. And by the way, Alimi butchered Afonja like a sallah cow and raped his sons and daughters before becoming the emir of Ilorin. Till date, Yorubas have to worship Fulanis, to honour them for their humiliation of their Afonja kins |

OfoIgbo:you sound too naive and childish. Emir of Ilorin isn't as highly recognised as Emir of kano, Sanusi was messed out of power and banished. That is the power of a governor. If emir of Ilorin misbehaves, the governor will dethrone him. So who is in control. As for issue of bowing down to emir, that is normal, even a president will bow ,that doesn't place the emir on equal paedestal with them. Till tommorw, yorubas are and will continue to be in Control of Ilorin and entire kwara, as for the emir, just leave him to keep been ceremonial, when the governor speaks he obeys. So who is in control? |

Pierocash:The emir remains in control because even if the governor removes the emir, he will still have to nominate another Fulani emir. Ilorin cultural life is ruled over by the Fulanis, and the Yoruba owners of Ilorin are deeply inferior to Fulanis, which is why Fulanis rule, in Kwara. If the Nigerian constitution is nullified, the governor looses all his powers, but the emir remains, and his power automatically grows in such a situation A Fulani can never be the traditional ruler of any town in the SS or SE |
| Re: Fresh Violent Clash Between Hausa And Oyigbo Residents In Port Harcourt by Pierocash(m): 10:30pm On Oct 23, 2020 |
OfoIgbo:if they nullify the constitution the emir also looses relevance, Chieftaincy and traditional sits derives its power from the state executive list under the local government chieftancy law, the king takes instructions from the commissioner of culture, not even the governor. Stop arguing, the king of any domain is far too inferior to a Governor, the governor can make, and unmake them as he so wishes. He appoints and crowns them ,he gives them staff of office, he pays them. How can the payee be greater than the payer, are you OK? |
| Re: Fresh Violent Clash Between Hausa And Oyigbo Residents In Port Harcourt by OfoIgbo: 10:40pm On Oct 23, 2020 |
Pierocash:It's obvious you don't understand these things. The Nigerian constitution did not create the Ilorin emirate. The emirate existed way before Nigeria. The Oba of Benin stool existed way before Nigeria The Eze NRI stool existed way before Nigeria. These royal stools were already existence before the constitution of Nigeria came to be, so if the constitution gets abrogated, the governorships and presidencies will disappear, and we then revert back to what existed, before the constitution came into being At the tail end of it all, the Fulanis are destined to rule Yorubas in Ilorin, if the constitution is annulled |

OfoIgbo:lol, see childish talk. So the constitution is not operational in Ilorin. The 1999 constitution is only for other parts of the country excluding Ilorin, lol. You funny die, even the Kano emirate council law derived Is power from same constitution, the sultanate council, etc. Ordinary Ilorin emir is operating without law. Guy, you funny oo |

Brooklynsouth:Nnamdi Kanu was the one inciting them to attack the Hausa community, the police, Tinubu's properties and to kill the Lagos state governor. You can even hear correcting one of the callers to radio programme on the pronunciation of Oyigbo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpomVzwUr7Y Note IPOB had made they quickly pull down the damaging evidence. However, here Asari Dokubo blasting Kanu (with excerpts from the same audio recording) for such utterances. https://mobile.facebook.com/watch/?v=799326440858668&_rdc=1&_rdr Hope IPOB would not succeed in bringing this down too. |
