I am not supporting looters and armed robbers. But, those people they flogged were not armed, and flogging them is unlawful. There could be innocent people among them.

Since the police has lost most of their moral authority due to greed, the citizens no longer respect them. Those they have robbed by extortion are taking it out on them. Do you guys know how many police stations have been burnt in the past week?

The proper thing was for them to be taken to the police for investigation and prosecution BUT anarchy is looming. Some order need to be restored and hence the military action even if wrong.

Guys, you don't want to imagine a society without any law and order! No police, no deterrent, no nothing!

If this goes unchecked, people's businesses or your employers businesses will be looted en masse. Some of these guys borrowed money to start the business for goodness sake!

Complete anarchy is a good citizen's nightmare, unless you are one of the looters.

Hmm. If this was done for the crime of looting all well and good. It looks brutal but note that all over the world, looters are shot at sight.
The truth of the matter is that if this looting is not stopped and deterred, at any opportunity this people have, it will be our estates, homes and families the looters will try to violate.
