In most countries, the Armed Forces are paid with Tax Payers money, to protect the Citizens and the Country against foreign invaders.

In Nigeria, they are trained to brutalise their own Citizens, extort them and kill them at will (except for the tiny 0.5% who have the fear of God in them), OPPRESSION is in their Blood.
But meanwhile, when they see invaders like Hoko haram, they run away, abandoning their weapons!

And anyone will expect the same Citizens to love them or b patriotic to the Shythole?

This is dehumanization... The soldiers should have handed them over to the police for prosecution.

But this is Nigeria where majority of the people fear and respect only the brutal but have little or no regards for the softhearted. You talk to them calmly, respectfully and treat them with dignity, they'll defy and treat you with scorn.. But use force and invoke harshness and all your instructions will be followed to the latter..

The same thing happens in relationships.. Treat a lady, most of them, nicely, they'll disrespect you. But treat them with contempt, and they'll cherish you.. Quite ironical.. The good die early while the wicked live a long and fruitful life.. Things are just upside down..

Thus, if such be the case, then let the soldiers use madness to restore sanity..

Since the police has lost most of their moral authority due to greed, the citizens no longer respect them. Those they have robbed by extortion are taking it out on them. Do you guys know how many police stations have been burnt in the past week?

The proper thing was for them to be taken to the police for investigation and prosecution BUT anarchy is looming. Some order need to be restored and hence the military action even if wrong.

Guys, you don't want to imagine a society without any law and order! No police, no deterrent, no nothing!

If this goes unchecked, people's businesses or your employers businesses will be looted en masse. Some of these guys borrowed money to start the business for goodness sake!

Complete anarchy is a good citizen's nightmare, unless you are one of the looters.
