FOR YOUR INFORMATION

Don't pay rent in Dollars, Euros or Pounds. Don't listen to agents telling you rents are in thr above currencies. All TRNC citizens pay rent in TL they don't pay in hard currencies and recently the country encourage landlord to take rent in Turkish Lira(TL) don't convert TL to Euro or Dollars it's going to be higher! Don't listen to them

A free tip for people coming to Léfkosa

Ask anyone you are going to Hamitkoy, There are student dormitories around Hamitkoy between the range of 1000-1500 TL

Walk Into their office and make payment. Accommodation ranges for 5months - 12 months

Both deposit and rent are in TL

1 deposit, 5-12months rent and No commission

There are so many of them in lefkosa region

Hello, thank you very much for this information. But can you give a specific address where we can find these student dormitories. Thank you

If you meant after interview and submission of documents at embassy for a visa, how long to issue the visa ...the time isn’t fixed by embassy but from experience it ranges 1-4 weeks on the average. This will be determined by volume of application and if they received the name from the university and background checks.

Yes,they must have received my name from the University, cos I already got approved around March, before the global lockdown began....it took about 5 working days. I just wanted to know if things has changed. Thanks!

If you are very interested in Biotech, since they are not going to run it in January which likely due to number of admitted students not enough to open the program:

First option

You can select to join in May 2021 since the program will be opened by that time.

Second option

Also, I believe that you applied for the Biotech normal fast-track option! You can ask them to shift you to their Biotechnology - Advanced (Fast Track) option which seems to still be available for Jan 2021 pending the waitlist.

Third option

You may decide to take their Food Science Tech (its opened for Jan 2021) which has some similar courses with the biotech in the first semester, so after first semester you can switch back to your Biotech during Summer and get exemption of the related courses from FST.

Best wishes[/quote]

Good Afternoon everyone, I am new to this thread. I completed my application to EMU yesterday, my application requires 3 references. I filled the information of my recommenders, however they have not received any mail of instruction on how to go about giving their recommendations.

For previous EMU applicants, do they send email to the recommenders or is the recommendation letters supposed to be sent to the international admissions office or I am to upload the recommendation letters myself?

Hi,

Don’t bother about that part. If you have a recommendation letter upload it.....if not go ahead and submit the necessary documents for addmision like transcript, diploma (certificate) and international passport biodata page; those are the mandatory requirements.
Re: North Cyprus: Part 2 by Milkshakes01(f): 3:21pm On Oct 24, 2020
Thank you very much for your quick response. I have uploaded all other necessary admission documents.
I have 2 letter of recommendation with me. Will my upload be received? as i have already clicked the submit button.

If you have submitted your application no need anymore.

If the department need it; you will receive an email requesting for that and your application will be re-opens so you can upload it.

Yes at EMU, you can be admitted into undergrad with HND, unless you have postgraduate diploma with your HND.

The level you will start with is based on your transcript. As a rule at EMU; transfer students must spend atleast 3 semester at EMU irrespective of which degree/diploma or levels you are coming from.

If you apply as a transfer student:

—-the courses you have taken will be matched with the courses we offer

——grades you obtained in each course will be matched

—-credit hours of each course will be matched. Example; if you had taken banking insurance course tag BIC305 and the credit in your school for this course is 2 credits and you scored less say C... if we have this course at EMU and the credit is 4; such course is likely not going to be transferred due to mismatch credits ... if you get A grade and credit is closer done other related course will be added to uplift it for it to be transferred.

In summary; in business undergraduate program we have like 45-48 courses which is divided into 5-6 courses per semester making total of 8 semesters for a 4-year undergrad program.

If only 25 courses are transferred for you from your transcript; then you will be left with about 13 courses which means 2 semesters, but the rule says you can’t spend just two semesters atleast 3; then you will need to take some extra courses to balance it.

I hope this is clear.
