One Out of the Many Sins of Arise TV

After the Lekki shootings, Arise News said there were snippers on the last floor of Access Bank Head Office building in Lekki.

That singular post got people angry, and it contributed to the setting so many of Access Bank's branches on fire.

The Bank immediately responded that it was a maintenance man that was carrying out maintenance work at the building.

Arise TV later brought down the post, but the havoc had been wreaked. The news had gone viral.

About 30 branches of Access Bank were vandalised and looted. Some were set ablaze, including the cars parked.

The newly commissioned roads constructed by Access Bank few weeks ago, linking Yesufu Abiodun, Ligali Ayorinde, Akinbolagbe and Muri Okunola Extension were destroyed due to the fake news by Arise TV.

All the beautiful palm trees planted were removed. Flower pots used in lining the roads like you're out of the country, concrete pots, submersible pumps for wetting flowers were all destroyed and removed by the sons of Belial.

Now, a lot of people think Government is out to witch-hunt Arise TV, because they don't know the extent of the havoc done by fake news.

I will be surprised if the Bank does not sue the Arise TV Station. Arise TV didnt do well at all.

How on earth did Arise TV come to the conclusion that routine maintenance officers were snipers?

They should charge arise TV to court, demand renovations of the destroyed facilities and compensation for their stupidity

.. Some of these media houses fueled the whole thing by spreading fake news just like ipob miscreants. Same way they spread the fake news of "lekki massacre", but after sometime, the "lekki dead bodies" are now resurrecting one by one.. One of the #End SARS "dead victims " was Caught stealing the phone of the nurse that was treating him in hospital. They are indeed peaceful protesters.

This is what happened when you allow Ipob lead your protest in a land they live to hate.

Note - to many fools populated on NL, I said IPOB n not Igbos.

Arise TV alone should have been sanctioned. They were fuelling the protests in all their reports and analyses. I don't know why the NBC added Channels and AIT.

Fake unverified news is worse than our incompetent government and a recipe for disaster if not curtailed.

Its rather convenient to forget to mention that the curfew on the day was instituted with a few hours prior notice.. Reason why it was changed to a later time.

Maintenance repairs are prebooked days ahead except there's an in-house team!!!!
This should explain away your assertion.

Nigerians are gullibles. They believe anything and most people do not understand the role of the press.

The press are tools for shaping ideas to the public and also for brain washing.

Many people online saw arise tv as their favorite station during this anarchy but who is the owner of Arise Tv, A pdp supporter, who saw an opportunity and used it.

The people thought they were supporting free press not knowing they were supporting a PDP station and indirectly supporting PDp.
