Kindly think well, what are to be repaired are scanners in those locations. Abi are you also insinuating that the 300 scanners are for 300 ports in Nigeria. Even common sense would have told you that even in the article the plural marker (s) were used to indicate scannerS per the four locations mentioned.

Corruption no go kill us.
Buying 300 scanners does not mean we have 300 ports.

What it means is that when we have lot of scanners in a port, work flow will be efficient and fast.

If 5 scanners were scanning 10000 containers in 1 week, about 50 scanners will scan 10000 containers in 1 day.

Everything is about fast delivery and efficiency.

The logic is the more scanners, the faster containers are scanned and cleared.

Now use that your reasoning to apply to the number of scanners that are to be repaired. Mentioning 4 locations doesn't equate to a single scanner per location.

If you have applied that correct reasoning, you will realise also that maintenance is far better than looting more than 2 billion for a single scanner as this your government wants to do.

Also you your sense to understand that does it make sense to repair 5 scanners for 700 million naira?

Reason well small na, just tiny small reasoning.

Scanners in five different locations doesn't equate five scanners. Even in the news report, they wrote scamnerS for each reported location. I know it very hard for you to comprehend.

I thank myself for trying to help you. Thanks also for understanding but not humble enough to thank me.

If the scanners are working, it will be more difficult for customs officials to extort money from businesses.

If the scanners are down, then they can delay, delay, and delay. Eventually, businessmen will come crease their palms, with some of the money flowing up the chain to Buhari's office.

Yes, we all know what's going on.
