That's the thing. I don't encourage youths to get car with less than 3 Million Naira. It will gulp financial resources in so many ways that may be unsustainable..

If u av 350k, my advice is save extra 100k then get d baby boy for 350k,the other saved money use it to put d car to order n your taste. All in all jiji will help u n never neglect a competent mechanic.

U just reminded me of a man, who bought a car for 50k, after 2weeks the car develop fault and he spent 50k to fix it. The next month, it broke down and he spent 60k... las las he got angry and sold it off for 40k used the money and bought chairs in his house.

350 for a car? That's a tough one. But if you must buy a car and that's what you have, look for either of the following; Nissan Sunny, Golf3, Mitsubishi Carisma, Corolla 99,Carina E or Micra.

Buying a car of 350k with less than 1 Million liquid funds for emergency isn't a good deal to me.

OP, you can’t get a good car for that amount. If you do; you will end up spending more to put the car in good shape - eventually it will defeat the whole aim of having a car to make your life easier.

More importantly, if this is your first car you will do yourself a whole lot of good if you save up to 500k+ and find a clean baby boy if thats what you want.


I see some certain elements advising OP to use the money for business/investment; this is really laughable and unwise. It is very ridiculous to think you can do business or invest with any small money you have, even if its 10 million. Business and investment goes beyond having the capital: there is experience, advisory, industry expertise and more. You can invest 10 million in a business and fail: so how is this wiser than buying a lemon car ?
