bettermike:You said in a sane society. Ours is not one. In a sane society, you don't see policemen brandishing AK47 every corner as if we're in a state of war. Let them go for some training before returning to the street or nothing will change. |

But wait o. You commit an offence and when apprehended, you pleaded with the police and offered money to him not to prosecute you, he agreed but only if you add more money which you agreed and paid. He let you go and warned you to be careful next time. Who is benefiting? Do you know that any police who doesn't not take bribe (we have them a lot) is termed a wicked and stubborn man by Nigerian civilians and his colleague? And his life is at stake? My warning to the citizens If police reformation takes place, hmmmmm, just buy a copy of Nigerian Construction, Criminal code, penal code, cpa and other books and read and stay out of offence because then, the average policeman will prove to you that he is well trained to discharge his duties effectively. Excess prosecution approaching! |
