My good people of Oyigbo local government in Rivers state, i am very concerned about what is happening in Oyigbo local government because i know a lot of innocent people are currently suffering due to the presence of IPOB miscreants in your land.

This is because you people have allowed this IPOB migrants operate in your communities with full audacity to the point of burning down police station and killing of fellow Nigerians from the North.

This is not acceptable because if your brother is being killed in the North you will never be happy with it especially when the northerners that are being killed have no link with these corrupt politicians ripping the country, they are only truck drivers looking for their daily bread only to be killed by tribal bigots who have turned terrorist. I sympathize with them including the innocent Oyigbo people that might have been killed due to retaliation from the Hausa community.

My Advice To Prevent A Repeat Of the Current Situation:

Oyigbo people, Rivers state is not igbo land, we only have igbos doing business in Rivers state, name and language similarities between two tribes doesn’t make one the other, it only shows evidence of intermarriage and trade relationship between the two tribes over the years but can never eradicate the true ancestral history of the indigenes.

1. Work with the security agencies and help them identify these IPOB migrants in your land. Ensure that ipob do not carry out any meetings or stand any IPOB flag in your land.

2. This will make the government understand that you’re not part of them and want them out of your communities which will make the job easier for the security agencies.

3. Have you wondered why there are no IPOb crisis in other parts of Rivers state? It’s because we don’t harbor criminals, we don’t tolerate these IPOB migrants.

Please ensure that you help the security agencies fish out these IPOB migrants in Oyigbo local government while the government works to call off the curfew in the next few days.

Trust me if you indigenes allow these Ipob migrants to repeat the crisis they caused in Oyigbo, it will be more difficult for you innocent Oyigbo indigenes.

Safe your land from IPOB migrant terrorists from Eastern Nigeria to Oyigbo land in Rivers state, Niger delta.

God bless you.

It's been over a week since the nigerian army laid siege to oyigbo town. The harassment and recorded cases of killings are numerous to count. They have been going to people's homes and killing indiscriminately, burning people's houses while blocking exits. With the 24hrs curfew, all roads going In and out of oyigbo has bn blocked and residents encircled. Some they kill at close range and so many have died in their homes from stray bullets. We have helicopters flying over our roofs in a way it can mean a declaration of genocide on oyigbo residents. The federal government and Rivers State Government have declared war on the people of oyigbo and the press are not doing much or should I say turning a blind eye. I am writing this post to draw the attention of nigerians and the world on the ongoing genocide on the residents of Oyigbo in Rivers State by the nigerian army.

Must you tell the world how foolish you are?

You won't go to heaven again.

Why are most of you Yoruba's like this?

Must you hate a tribe well created by God in his own Image?

They hate the truth, they are coming for you.

I don't know which one among the hypocrites condemning Wike could allow some unguided elements disturb the peace and tranquility of his State if they were in Wike's position.

To the extent that one coward in the name of Kanu who is sitting in UK is telling his miscreants to cut off Wike's head and get 100 Million.
What an audacity!

If I was Wike I would do more to tame them before their threat become reality

This one got me laughing. Telling Igbos that they are not Igbos. Oyigbo/Obigbo that used to be in the old Aba province and was carved into Rivers state after it was created in 1967. Now someone is coming to tell then that they are no longer Igbos because they are now in Rivers

Oh I see what you mean. Because Oyigbo/Obigbo used to be in the old Aba province but is now in Rivers state, it means they were never Igbos? Dont you know that what you are calling Rivers state was created in 1967 from land carved out of old Portharcourt, Bayelsa, Owerri and Aba provinces? Do you know that Igbos, such as Egbema people, who used to be in old Owerri province, had their land cut into two. Half was left in present day Imo state and the other half was was added to help create Rivers state. Thats why you have Egbema LGA in Rivers and another Egbema LGA in Imo. To this day, Egbema people call their land Egbema 1 and Egbema 2, just to differentiate which which Egbema is in Imo and which one is in Rivers.

Next thing, people like you will tell the Egbema people in Rivers that they are no longer Igbos, that it is the Egbema in Imo state that is now Igbo

The same thing Igbo-Etche people of old Owerri province. They were carved into Rivers state, they took out 'Igbo' and started calling them just Etche.

Many parts of Igbo land were stolen to create Rivers state in 1967

As an indigene of Oyigbo LGA, I can tell you that we are not happy about the crisis currently rocking our community, affecting businesses, movements of people, goods and other means of livelihood. I think the Nigerian army are making a very big mistake by asking us to provide the IPOB guys who killed their colleagues. If they know who killed their colleagues, why not trace them and fish them out from their hideouts, instead of disturbing the peace of the community? Innocent people are being murdered daily for what they know nothing about. Governor Wike himself has always been a man who prefers to make so much noise over serious issues just to maintain his popularity in the media, rather than confronting them tactically. I want to state clearly that in as much as we condemn any act of violence and destruction of government facilities in our communities, it has never been our obligation or duty to guide and watch over police stations or to protect soldiers deployed to our communities. We are calling on the army and the IPOB group to take their war elsewhere, Oyigbo is not a battlefield. Thank you
