Titto93:China has 24/7 electricity and they manufacture all their things. ..paper, pencil, broom, toothbrush, bicycle, car, airplane, rocket, ship.. EVERYTHING is made there by themselves They have numerous FULLY FUNCTIONAL industries, and necessary labour to run all their equipment. Why are you comparing Nigeria with them? All we do here is import and pose with the latest gadget. How can you ever compete with the man that MAKES the gadget in his backyard? ![]() |

GavelSlam:It also applies to you, what can you better than the average Chinese? You must not play the patriotism card every time, when you see black you call it black, and when you see white you call it white. |

Titto93:Sharap. I would quote you. When you have no excuse you dodge the question. |

uuzba:I'm not really comparing dem, I'm just unveiling how backward and clueless our govt is... if China can, it means it's possible... so, Why can't Nigeria? |
| Re: Update On Third Mainland Bridge Repairs (Week 15) by privaldo: 11:58am On Nov 02, 2020 |
GavelSlam:No, its not about you complaining. My point is why go at him when he is only trying to hold those he elected to office accountable or is it wrong to ask for accountability? Dear Patriot |

privaldo:He's not holding anyone accountable. He's only complaining. Just as most Nigerians do. Change begins with me. Yapping about like a puppy doesn't change things. Do your bit and if need be, exhibit it. Coming to an anonymous forum to castigate any and everything is senseless. |

Titto93:Why are you exonerating yourself? Everyone is a superhero until they are given a function to handle. |

Titto93:sharap there. no country can build a bridge of such magnitude in 15 weeks it's obvious you don't know anything about civil engineering so pls do your research properly before spewing rubbish if they decide to close the whole bridge fully to hasten it up, its people like you that will still say government is insensitive And i don't know why you guys keep comparing yourself to China and other developed countries Nigeria has never been a developed one. abi Nigeria and China na mate? |
| Re: Update On Third Mainland Bridge Repairs (Week 15) by privaldo: 12:10pm On Nov 02, 2020 |
GavelSlam:Actually, what you call complaint and castigation is simply him exercising his rights as a citizen. So when you say "change begins with me", does this mean he should take up the construction of the bridge? He is only comparing it to a working society, the world over witnessed China set up a very large hospital in less than one week, so I don't think he is wrong to make references to a society that works. He maybe contributing his part to the growth of the country but how can you tell? |
| Re: Update On Third Mainland Bridge Repairs (Week 15) by GavelSlam: 12:12pm On Nov 02, 2020 |
privaldo:I am also exercising my right. He is part and parcel of the society. A simple question about how he compares with the average chinese man, and you see excuses all around. I'm not asking anybody to compare himself with the chinese government. I'm asking how you compare with your contemporary in the same clime you wish to compare our government to. Not too much to ask. |
