Firstly, take a moment to appreciate the environment, Please I feel we will need to do more to protect our coastline. Please do not take drugs or get drunk before coming Please.

So It was a weekend and I decided to do something adventurous then boom I was off to Lekki the location of the kayaking. The environment looks really nice, it was located close to a jetty. So apart from the kayak, you also have access to a beautiful view of the Atlantic.

As an experienced Kayaker LOL I understand the rules and these are some safety tips

1. Ensure you properly strap your life jacket
2. Make sure you sit right on the kayak
3. Ensure your follow the safety rules
4. Do not panic stay relaxed
5. If the current is too hard, do nothing just relax
6. When you see a speed boat approaching stay out of its way.

Wow !
I love adventure,sha !

This reminds me of Steve Fisher, the great kayaker, together with his Team they defied the odds to kayak the dangerous rapids of the River Congo..

OP, well done.

Looks like fun, it can even be better than the horrible Lagos traffic.

But wait, anyone ever notice that those fishermen on the lagoon have disappeared?

There are about four places where you can do Kayaking in Lagos

1. La champagne Tropicana beach
2. Omu Resort
3. Lagos Kayak at Ikoyi
4. Kampari Tours in Lekki

My first experience was at La champagne beach, I loved the experience but La champagne is a 3 hours journey. The second experience outside La campagne was at Lagos Kayak with the Lagos Google guide team. It was another beautiful experience. We moved from Ikoyi towards Lekki and Victoria Island.
The third one was with Kampari Tours and I will be sharing more pictures from the event

Nice looking...but what about real time experiences during the period most of us after opportuned to leisure travel. Will the place not be overrun by area boys and girls playing adult music and smoking weed as in most of our so called fitrst rate but non 'family friendly' tourist beaches.

Re: Kayaking Across The Lagos Lagoon by hardbody: 12:59pm On Nov 03, 2020
I did a bit of kayaking at cassa del papa in cotonu. It was fun but I think that body of water was sort of shallow and had no serious currents plus boats and ships don't come anywhere close. I ain't ever trying that in Nigeria... everything will almost go wrong. Everything.
