Good and fun question...

Virginia was a blue state, then in the 1960's and 70s it went red....due to many Southern democrats running towards the Republicans, then with the rising urban population, especially in the areas adjoning Washington DC, it went blue from the 90's onward.

Today, the urban areas are blue, rural areas red. Urban population is greater than rural.....hence Virginia is blue.

Its all over for Trump, anyone rooting for Trump is delusional.
