LASG URGES LAGOSIANS TO REMAIN PEACEFUL

The @followlasg has urged all Lagosians to shun any act that may threaten the peace of our dear state, which is battling to recover from the shock of the carnage unleashed by hoodlums who hid under the #EndSARS protests.

Even as we are still counting our painful losses in lives and property, there are hints of a new protest. The police have warned that no protest will be tolerated.

Any protest under any guise will be disrespectful to the memory of those who died in the violence and unfair to ordinary Lagosians, who have remained peaceful, despite the hardship that the original protests sparked.

It is clear that the original protests, despite their good intentions, have caused more havoc than they were planned to resolve.

The Government hereby appeals to our patriotic youths to shelve any plan for a protest and join the practical efforts to find a solution to the problems that have been thrown up by the actions taken in recent weeks.

Parents and guardians are enjoined to keep their children/wards at home; they should not be used as tools of destruction by enemies of our society.

Anybody who has any grievance against the disbanded SARS should approach the Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution to make his case.

Governor @jidesanwoolu advises all Lagosians to remain calm and confident that the Govt will guard jealously the emblem of peace that Lagos is famous for. Any person or group of persons who plans to fuel any crisis in Lagos should drop such thoughts or be ready to face the law.

Hunt game is gradually taking it course on those that pioneer #Endsar. We are watching closely. We will stand against intimidation, harassment and arrest.

I want to urge every youth by 2021 when INEC open for voters registration to get there voter card.

2023 is the year we will be taking our destiny in our hands. I can bet you even our parents want to eat the fruits of their labour after years of training us to school and work.

2023 the youths will be filling every vacant position available. Which will be systematic and well organize.

They now know what the youths are capable of doing. We should not loose focus, we must get it right once and for all. Gradually we will set standard for every other Africa countries under the siege of bad governance and leaders.

Together we can make NIGERIA work again

Hot protest is coming. Soldiers are now everywhere dehumanizing everyone.
Even military regime is not that worse like this irresponsible democratic regime. Our freedom of movement is being eroded.
I realize Democracy has nothing to offer except poverty, unemployment, irresponsible leadership at levels, insecurity, corruption, looting etc.

I prefer a despot like General Sani Abacha or Gen Ibrahim Babangida to all these useless ,indisciplined, lying leaders that we have today.
All d major developmental strides in Nigeria happened during d millitary era.
The only achievement i can credit to democracy is Obasanjo minimum wage. But his successors crippled d economy due to their incompetence and rubbish d minimum wage .

Re: Lagos Governmenr Urges Calm, Warns Against Fresh Protests by Openbusiness:
I will always support people's fundamental rights to peaceful protests. But this problem is a FEDERAL GOVERNMENT problem. So please protesters should mobilise and go to Abuja. After passing through Oyingbo on Thursday and seeing the level of destruction at the Oyingbo BRT terminal, and then, ESPECIALLY because knowing that many civilians were also killed during the protests, which is the saddest and most regrettable part, Lagos should not be turned to a staging ground for further peaceful protests against the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT that could lead to another round of civilians deaths and destruction of critical public infrastructure. Protesters should mobilise to Abuja. Buhari regime is the problem, not Sanwo Olu. Otherwise, it means these protests have turned political and is being targeted at Tinubu. Protesters should go to Abuja, OR go to Federal Government facilities and protest there. Please and please let's reason these things well. Many people died during the crisis of the last protests, that's not something anybody should be happy about or recreate the events that can repeat such a thing. Some people's businesses were completely destroyed, they are yet to recover. LASG should fund the protesters transport mobilisation to Abuja, may dem no pour sand for una garri oh grin. Protesters should go to National Assembly and Asshole Rock and protest to Buhari regime. They are the ones controlling Police and Military, not Sanwo Olu
