It means Tripple-Level Cells.....it is a NAND flash memory cell that stores eight values. A technology on which SSD (solid state drives) on modern computing devices are configured. TLC SSDs write three bits to each cell.
TLCs are the most common type of SSD and they pack more capacity than other SSDs like SLC (Single-level cells) and MLC (Multi-level cells), but sacrifice relative speed, reliability, and durability. That doesn’t mean TLC drives are bad. They are just more affordable, hence its popularity. They can also last several years.
