Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville believes that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will be nervous ahead of this weekend's clash with Manchester City.

The defending champions are the early pacesetters in the Premier League this season with 16 points from their opening seven matches but their defensive frailties have been exposed.

Liverpool are facing the prospect of being without star man Virgil van Dijk for the remainder of the season due to injury and, in his absence, hold the second-worst defensive record in the top-flight.

Only West Brom have conceded more goals this season than the 15 Liverpool have shipped while City, in comparison, have the joint second-best defensive record with just eight goals conceded.

While City have not been firing on all cylinders so far this season, Neville believes that there is enough in Pep Guardiola's squad to leave Klopp sweating due to the absence of Van Dijk.
