Those who created those fake news creatives and those who incited the carnage deserve their day in court.It is now official that no one was shot dead in the Lekki shooting yet some people incited carnage in Lagos using fake news and pictures to defend the fake news that 78 people were shot dead.
They even created a #lekkimassacre and paid social media influencers to boost it to further incite more carnage.

During the time these fake news creatives were trending, all effort to make them pause and tone down were rebuffed. Now the fact is that the news were fake and those hyping the fake news were paid to do so.

The victims of the carnage are not going to lie down watch them not face prosecution.

Till date, it turned out that the account of Olu Phillips of Channels TV right from the scene and subsequent tweet by channels TV was right.

So who are those people who created those fake pictures of dead people, who are those people who funded and paid them to do so and how can their victims get justice?

These pictures of the carnage are real.


The casualties are real and some businesses destroyed are funded with bank loans.

Those who created those fake news creatives and those who sat down to type fake news to incite this carnage must be prosecuted to get justice for their victims.

So far, it appeared only Channels TV was right so the intention of someone who sat down to type and create and post and share fake news to incite the carnage must be investigated.

Those who created those fake news creatives were paid to create and hype the contents.

Where are the 78 dead? Where are those for example Mrs Omoni Oboli said were being shot and killed.
I believed her account and prosecuting her is one step to get justice for the alleged victim or get her to face the consequences of inciting with fake news.


Channels TV was there at the scene and it has turned out that Channels TV account is right initially but those paid to type the fake news dominated the narrative to incite the carnage.

The vicitims of the carnage they incited are real people and deserve justice.

What happened that day was a complete looting of lekki.

For all we know it could be something from DR Congo, or somebody's backyard. Where are the families of all these dead people?
