Yes I know we ain't world class but if you watch that Algerian match.. OMG I cringed everytime we had the ball in defense because of consistent pressing from the Algerian frontline but when it came to them holding the ball at the back ..our forwards were at the middle line thereby encouraging em to play from the back..

I remember the Liverpool Sevilla Euro Super Cup.. After Liver kept on pressuring their play from the back within the 15th or 20th minute or there about. .Seville changed their tactics and gave them the same treatment and Lo and behold, Liv defenders started playing long balls..

I ain't no certified coach but this is my opinion ..

And yes you can win with a conservative approach ala Deschamps.. Santos.. Benitez.. But you still to need man manage the game every minute and spring up a surprise a two.. Do I really need to go on?

Gernot Rohr is blessed with so many talented players......this current S/Eagles squad reminds one of the star-studded Real Madrid killer team from the early 2000s

Rohr doesn't even necessarily have to coach much.... just manage the boys well and ginger them on the pitch, allow them to express themselves with a very good playing grass.....on a very good day, this current squad can subdue ANY team.... NOTE: "ON A GOOD DAY" OOOO
