I can code o and I had a degree in marine engineering but I am trying to get back to grad school for a master's in computer science but what I have been seeing so far is so discouraging. Many schools aren't considering people without degrees in computer science. The only engineering degree they even look at is electrical engineering.

Has anyone from mechanical, chemical, petroleum or any other engineering field successfully been able to do a master's in computer science? If you did, how did you go about it?

If you plan to do your Msc. in Czech Republic, you don't need to have a bachelors in IT/Computer Science to progress in some schools. You can do MSc. in Informatics

I saw someone say this earlier on. My major interest was in Germany but they are too strict. I am going to research in Czech republic. Thank you.

By all means come to Czech Republic...your job is guaranteed here. despite Corona unemployment rate is less than 3% and while some jobs may be menial...you can survive well here until you get the big jobs! www.macrotrends.net/countries/CZE/czech-republic/unemployment-rate

Unizik will allow you to do PGD and from their you can go for masters
