A whole 720 people! What is their offense.

Black spot is not in our laws, not to talk of being found in one. The constitution guarantees (supposedly) freedom of movement. You can only arrest a person for commiting a crime and not being found at a particular location.

Wrong Nigerian mentality. Not possessing an ID card is not a crime under Nigerian law.

Being in a particular location is a criminal offense too. If you say it is not true then try crossing the river connecting Africa and Europe if they won’t shoot on cite.

That's not how policing is done in sane societies. What are you going to charge people you pick up randomly from the streets for, that will require bail? The crime of Jay walking is not in our statutes and the constitution allows free movement.

Real Policing is done with undercover agents who monitors hotspots and identifies criminals and their crimes, with evidence that can stand up in court.

Crossing international borders illegally is a crime in international and national law.

Are you saying that the Nigerian laws recognise particular locations that Nigerians are not allowed to enter?

That's how they keep creating more problems for Nigeria.......a protest was held to address your excesses, instead of sitting down and having a sober reflection on ways to change for good.....you organized your government licensed criminal squad called Police to go back to the same society to cause more havoc by arresting innocent young men just because they are poor and still living in the ghetto areas they were born.

Make una continue.......the next protest will not be a protest, it will be a fight back, a deadly revolution that will consume not just the Police, but including the army and the main targets; the foolish political criminals occupying Aso Rock and all Nigerian state capitals angry angry

I was just correcting what you said initially, but down to this specific case. Let us just assume they arrested people found with something implicating even if we truely know how our men in black behave.

ethicallyright:
Some of the suspects will pay 20000 naira to be free while others will pay as high as 200,000 naira.
What they pay is not my business, but I'm certain the bail money received from the 720 arrested suspects may be enough to rebuild a vandalised Police station in Lagos, but ,sadly it would end in the pockets of independent police officers.

so u are sad it will end up in independent police officers pocket and not sad they have to pay to get bail
u see when u lots type like u have some tad bit of sense to justify the small english u think u know
u sound wise from the start but begin to sound like someone with a DNA of stupidity
I guess it would have been happily for u if it ended up in the pockets of colonized police officers
cos how on earth do u lots use ur fufu brains to type rubbish and press submit

ARE THEY SUPPOSE TO PAY TO BE RELEASED IN THE FIRST PLACE

YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM. angry angry
