there are different power blocs in APC. Tinubu camp, ahmed lawal camp, AGF/Mai Buni camp. It is easy to spot which camp Umahi belongs in.

AGF/Mai Buni camp is the face of Buhari and the Northern Cabals.

Because he knows Umahi will quickly overshadow him I the APC. Don't follow SE politics but as far as I know, Umahi is the best and most competent Igbo Governor today.

Many Igbos, including Kalu, must be upset the best ala Igbos has to offer has now willingly gone to join APC.
