What I'm saying is resting Messi would make abit more refreshed. We all saw how sharp and on top of his game when he came from the bench against Betis , prolly the best Messi performance we've seen since the Celta game.
And yes , the other players can step up in Messi's absence...tbh apart from being clinical in finishing in that Betis game, Grizz played well. He was more involved in the game than before. Besides, we've got other players than Grizz, it's just up to Koeman to actually use his eyes and brain well to select the right players in the right positions, even if it means we have to change formations sef.
