Please let his case be thoroughly investigated and if found innocent....then let him be duely paid a compensation so that he can hold on to that for a living..... this is too much of a destruction on one's life.

To be sincere, Nigerian government should always test mental and psychological mind of new recruits into Nigeria police force. Many of them are not sane at all. They are barbaric and wicked in nature. Now this man has lost it totally in life except he is compensated with millions of naira which I know is very rare in Nigeria polity. Police are truly our enemies in this country. I support any wicked act perpetrated against them.
Most police recruits are jobless hungry people left with no option than to join the npf, to them the frustration is over soon as they have a uniform and a gun.

It starts from all aspects, when I was in ph just nda cadets that haven't even joined the army to them it means they have been given the go ahead to purnish Nigerians, I once saw ordinary cadet using belts to flog a grown man, same thing happens in the police, joining any security outfit in Nigeria is not to serve the people but an opportunity to punish the people.

A dog eat dogs will someday mean no dog would be around.
We are the police remember? We just need to sanction and put ourselves in check.

Exactly, he must be compensated

UgojiC:
It is welll

Thanks to all who secured his freedom. It's not just acquitting him the officials must be brought to book and he must be well compensated.

Our institutions are not designed for the have nots that is why crime would always be on the rise.

Sadly ...the justice system has no provision for the wrongly convicted...the only thing they get is their freedom and removal of their name from the list of ex-convicts......all such allocation is in the belly of our politicians....

And the reason for this act to prevail is lack of monitoring strategy in our policing system.

its unacceptable that the police are used as tormentors and torturer's in inflicting pain and torture on the people.

Its also unacceptable to treat adults as children, such as telling them to lay on the ground, to do frog Jump, or to run or to use unofficial objects in hitting them.

It is also unacceptable to tell any person to lie inside a pool of water

A man has been discharged and acquitted after spending 5 years in prison for a crime he says he didn't commit, IgbereTV reports.

According to youth advocate, Oluyemi Fasipe, the man was mistakenly arrested alongside some kidnappers. During the arrest, he was allegedly shot by SARS and his leg had to be amputated.

Oluyemi said he spoke with the man's lawyer and advised him to write a petition to the Ondo State panel of inquiry on the victim's behalf.

Oluyemi Fasipe wrote on his Twitter handle:
