Dear nairalanders, i mistakenly added sugar into my soup thinking it was salt . And the food items are expensive i cant trow the soup away . Is there any side effect in add sugar to soup?

If you actually mistook it for salt, then you could only have added very insignificant quantity of sugar. The quantity of sugar that can make any difference to your soup is not something you can add in error. If you're sure of what you're saying, by now you must know it made no difference. Just add your salt and enjoy your food. After all many soup has some amount of sugar unless you did not use any starchy ingredients.
