*NIGERIA IS A SHATTERED GLASS!*

By Dr. Dolapo Sikuade

*A REBUTTAL TO GLASS HALF EMPTY OR HALF FULL - NIGERIA!*

Harsh but incisive rebuttal. I particularly agree with his last sentence... *NIGERIA IS A SHATTERED GLASS!*

It's by *Dr Dolapo Sikuade*
A Clinical Psychiatrist with a lifetime track record of supporting HR

Here we go..

This is a hack job government sponsored propaganda by Cambridge analytica types, because no full blooded Nigerian government official can write like this with a straight face, without thunder and fire striking his lying penmanship.

Ingenious half truths and innuendo telling us we are better off now than before WHICH IS NOT TRUE.

Railway to Niger.
1. Why rail to lift goods from Niger? What goods are they producing that trumps possible train lines within Nigeria of serious economic value? Like an East West railine? Like a Lagos Monorail? A direct Abuja South Raikway? Or one to Republic Benin to west Africa?

What is the volume of trade from Niger? Niger is in the heart of Sahel insurgency ... is this a good strategic move?

Refinery:
Yes refineries need to be privatised, Yes Dangote is coming on stream, but what about the colossal waste of our refineries which provide employment in the poorest part of Nigeria? Why patronise another countries jobless people when this is a major problem here on Nigeria?

Pipeline vandals will hold this supply of crude to Niger by the jugular? So we should forget that it’s Fulani people of Niger that are the major benefits of this move?

NO LIGHT CONTINUES.
The behemoth PHcN, as it’s put here, has not delivered it’s promise even now unyolking it’s distribution.
But this is an abysmal flop. Which area of Nigeria is enjoying 24 hours light? This is a selected blatant lie.

Corruption:
On corruption? No matter how much sweet talking selective memory examples.. the fact that we are still at the same abysmally level in the TI index says it all.

Monumental corruption in palliative distribution, EFCC in disarray, continued foot dragging on serious cases, opulent life style of government functionaries like the AG, COAS Burantai, Maina, the grascutting scandal, etc all point out to business as usual for corruption.

Security:
The few phrases on security are so weak and watery, that it gives a lie to the intentionality of this write up.

This is THE NUMBER ONE PROBLEM TODAY !!
Because you can’t sugar coat the criminal failure which led to the gross insecurity lapses in Nigeria, where even the Northern groups and the Sultan have decried the murderous mayhem in Nigeria.

Bands of Hausa Fulani kidnappers have taken over the forests in the south: from Enugu to Ekiiti to Delta north taking people at will, raping women, killing anyone who resists , while the Fulani led government tried ( and failed) to outlaw local Yoruba Amotekun militia and ordered civilians in the South to hand in their Dane guns.
All the while turning a blind eye to AK47 openly carried by catttle herders?
WE ARE NOT FOOLS. We know why GMB DECLARED FREE ENTRY FOR NOMADS TO SETTLE, mooting cattle colonies for his mother’s kin from desert waterless Niger and wanting to take over southern waterways!

IS THIS SECURITY?
Farmers slit by the throat like goats at Salllah! Who will farm again? IDP camps overun daily. Boko Haram taking over the villages while lawmakers hide in a huddle in Abuja, unable to visit their hometown. Governors negotiating with bandit, but bringing armed soldiers to kill peaceful end sars youth? IS THIS SECURITY?

The economy:
An economy in free fall:
Which one is the nonesense about recession going away? As we speak ( write) £1=630 naira and FALLING!!!

We have just started! The insult in this write up ignores the mass poverty that gave rise to the Endsars movement of youth rebellion. WE WILL NOT FORGET.

Imagine the phrase “ we generally have more freedom of speech” !!!
Where peaceful protesters were shot!!!?? Where people are warned not to talk of Black Friday sale because it’s an insult to Islam? Where hundreds of police stations were burned as people revolted again police brutality? Tattooed women shamed by police, dreadlocked men shaved forcibly like a Taliban controlled area?

This is not half full or half empty, but indeed the glass of our illusory freedom has shatttered!!

The poverty of this write up is inherently in bad faith as it seeks to attribute telephony penetration to GMB and internet banking to GMB!! Foul talk! Intellectual dog bark.

What has this lie got to do with the economic maelstrom that has beggared this once proud nation, now overwhelmed by infusions of Chinese loans?

GROSS GOVERNMENT INCOMPETENCE
In fact, all indices suggest that this regime is talking us back in time, and indeed it has no answer for the challenges of today, as the incapacitated president Buhari flails around in arrogant helpless impotence, Covid having taken away his proxy brain ( Kyari, while he is surrounded by a coterie of jesters jostling for personal loot and power, ....even as the masses wallow in the mass poverty in the the wake of the exhaust of a failed nation .... awaiting dismantling!

Not half full or half empty but ... SHATTERED GLASS

Restructure now.. or perish the nation.
